Health is Wealth: free virtual wellness webinar on April 1

Health is Wealth: free virtual wellness webinar on April 1

The Atlanta Black Chambers (ABC) Health & Wellness Committee will host "Health is Wealth: Protect Your Greatest Asset," a free virtual webinar on April 1, 2026, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. EST. The one-hour session will feature expert-led discussions on mental health, nutrition, and strategies for long-term well-being. The Hispanic Health Coalition of Georgia (HHCGA) encourages community members, health professionals, and families throughout the state to attend.

The webinar is organized in partnership with Black Health Matters, a multimedia health education platform that delivers health information to African American and Afro-Latin communities across the United States. By co-hosting with ABC's Health & Wellness Committee, the event brings together business-focused and community health networks under one virtual roof.

What the webinar covers

The session will address three interconnected areas of wellness. Mental health topics will explore stress management and emotional resilience, particularly for working professionals balancing career demands with personal health. Nutrition content will focus on practical, evidence-based approaches to eating habits that support both physical and cognitive performance. The broader well-being discussion will tie these elements together, emphasizing how personal vitality affects professional outcomes and day-to-day quality of life.

Attendees who hold the Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES®) or Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES®) credential are eligible to receive free Continuing Education Contact Hours (CECH) for participating. This makes the session a professional development opportunity along with a wellness resource.

Who should attend

The webinar targets a broad audience. Health education professionals seeking CECH credit will benefit from expert-led content. Community health workers, promotores de salud, and nonprofit staff will find practical takeaways applicable to their outreach. Business owners and entrepreneurs — the core ABC audience — will gain wellness strategies that connect personal health to business performance. Families and individuals looking to strengthen their understanding of mental health and nutrition are also welcome.

HHCGA's participation in promoting this event reflects the organization's ongoing commitment to health education partnerships that reach across Georgia's communities. The webinar's focus on mental health and nutrition aligns with public health priorities that HHCGA has addressed through its own programming for more than three decades.

About the hosts and sponsors

The Atlanta Black Chambers is a nonprofit organization that supports the creation and growth of Black-owned businesses through education, training, and economic development programming. Founded in 2005, ABC engages more than 5,000 individuals annually through over 100 events and activities. The Health & Wellness Committee operates within ABC to deliver free health-focused programming to members and the wider community.

Black Health Matters, launched in 2012, operates as a multimedia health education company that reaches African American and Afro-Latin audiences through video content, summits, and digital engagement campaigns. The organization focuses on chronic disease management, health literacy, and community empowerment.
